- I feed my children regularly.
- I offer them healthy food. I don’t force them to eat it.
- I let them have sweet treats, but not too often.
- I take them outside every day to run and play.
- I make sure they get enough sleep.
- I always try to put a smile on their faces.
- I recognise their imperfections, but I love them anyway.
- I can’t change who they are. I don’t want to change who they are.
- I can and it’s my responsibility to shape how they express who they are so that they get the most out of life and give the most of what they have to give to the world.
(In an ideal world I’d treat my body the same way. In reality I skip meals, skip sleep and expect too much.)
What does loving your body mean to you? (Tweet this to start a conversation.)

So true, why do us Mums think we cant treat ourselves as well as the others in our lives?

Love this. Sometimes I think to myself… if only I just ate the same food I give to my kids all the time, I’d be MUCH healthier.

Oh I’ve had the same thoughts…If I just follow the same rules I give my children (no, sorry too late for a snack!) Welcome to the joys of being a grown up right!? “yes you can eat whatever you want!” oh, joy! Well to me, loving my body is taking care of it. I do exercise regularly. I do incorporate very healthy foods. But I also enjoy some unhealthy treats. Everything in moderation. And balance.

Funny I actually had a very similar thought very recently, about treating my body like I treat my children. How funny is that!
