Grateful for dance classes

This week’s grateful topic is dance. I’ve written about how much I love dance so many times already, but.. how could I pass on my favourite topic?

First, let me use this opportunity to share one of my favourite dance videos that I’ve found on youtube. If you thought dancing on the dance floor was hard, how about dancing in water?

This week I’m grateful for dance classes.

Come in. Put your dance shoes on.

At first things are slow. We’re learning new steps while still trying to remember about the proper technique. We start and make mistakes. There’re too many things to think about all at the same time. We try again. And again.

Then it’s time for the music. All thoughts disappear. There’s only the lead and nothing else. The perfect focus. The perfect meditation. This is the moment that I turn up for every week. Even if I’m feeling half-alive (as I have been lately). Somehow dance makes the world shine brighter.

What are you grateful for this week?

P.S. Oh, and I’ve just had to add another video. Simple steps you can learn in a Beginner Level 2 Class… yet I can’t take my eyes off.

On our first date (a blind date, no less) I said I’d love to try a couples dance class one day, and he agreed that he’d love to try it too. He was such a liar! LOL

My dance class days are over, but I live through my children.
Lulu quit jazz/tap/ballet this term and it looks as though my son will too after this year.
I’m alittle sad about it, my bank balance, not so much.

I love dancing too, but I haven’t done that in ages. I am considering signing up for dance classes at a nearby studio. What could be more fun that dancing as I melt away fat, right?

Beautiful. Dance must make you feel so free. Jealous of that. There is something just magic about a well executed dance :)

I love to dance, but time and availability of classes are both scarce. I am now living vicariously through my eldest daughter who has just started dance classes.
I feel like it’s a right of passage for young girls.

I know you love to dance as much as I do, Tat. Maybe I should take a class… yes, that’s a great idea!!!! x

Why do you think I keep on posting videos of other people and not my own? ;) But if we practiced as much as they do, we’d look as good as them, right?

By the way, the second video is of the current professional world champions, please don’t let them stop you from dancing!

Hi, I'm Tat. I believe that through motherhood we're given another chance to find ourselves, grow and shine. I have three beautiful children and I learn a lot from them every day. This year I'm searching for ease in everything I do.More about me and my blog »
