I haven’t had the best time this week. I’ve been feeling lonely, unsupported and very far away from my family. A few times I reached for those support numbers at the back of my pregnancy brochure, but what was I going to say to complete strangers?
It’s different when a friend can tell you that no, you’re not going crazy and your view of the world is still reasonable (even though some of your closest people might think otherwise). I’m grateful that Grace from With Some Grace (who is hosting FYBF) was that friend for me today.
What are you grateful for this week?

So glad you were able to chat it out with Grace. It is definately nice to have an ear to hear our woes, but really sometimes a stranger is great too, beacause they aren’t involved personally and can sometimes give a new perspective. Hope your days brighten xx

Good ol’ Grace. I’m glad she soothed you through this rough patch. I’m sorry to hear its been tough. I’ve been so out of the loop….I hope it’s not been going on for too long. Take care. We should try to meet up on a Monday sometime again since I’m not working that day. Take care.

I seem commitment issues at the moment, I never know how I’m going to feel until the time comes. But I’d love to see you.
Ah, Tat! You brought tears to my eyes!!!

So glad I caught up with you this afternoon. I am never too far away to keep reminding you that you’re doing a fantastic job.
Just give me a call. We’ll hang out in our usual spot…while the kids run amok

I’m really sad you’re having a rough week. Sometimes just contemplating the fact that bad weeks make us appreciate good weeks can help. However, sometimes just knowing someone is sending good thoughts your way from across the globe can help, too.

I’m sorry to hear your week was like that, Tat. But I’m glad you had such a beautiful friend to support you in the end. Hoping the next week is lighter and lovelier for you xx
You can never go wrong with good friends by your side. I also had the pleasure of hanging out with old friends last night. It felt good to reconnect with them.

When I was a new mummy I had some tough times and calling that number in the brochure was THE HARDEST THING to do ever. I picked up the phone and dialled three times, then hung up each time, before I ever managed to make a successful connection. And I’m so glad I did. The person on the other end of the line was so wonderful and understanding, and didn’t mind at all that I burst into tears before I even said a word! I’m glad that you found a friend in Grace, and hope that you continue to find friends, no matter how and where, when you need them.
