Grateful for warm home

Usually I’d call my home anything but warm. Our heater lasted for about 3 days this winter and we never got around to replacing it. But… was I happy to get here after the rainy school run today (it was literally a run)!

At home there is no rain and no wind, and I have a kettle to make a cup of tea. That makes it a warm home and I’m so grateful for it!

What are you grateful for this week?

I bought a new heater this year, it was a little splurge as I’ve got a savings plan and (like many things) it wasn’t part of it. It’s been our lifesaver. My little one and I would have been miserable without it. That and cups of tea have got us though. Nice to be inside on blustery days.

I’m thankful for having a roof over my head, and food to sustain us. So many families lost homes and loved ones from the recent storm which hit the country.

What a fabulous photo! And wow, you have done SO well to cope all winter without a heater. We’re paying for our use of our heaters all winter (boy are we paying). I do remember living with friends when I first moved out of home – we had a heater but refused to use it because of the cost. There was something quite lovely about each of us snuggling under our doonas while watching the telly. I feel nostalgic about it now… I wonder if it was that good at the time? ;P
